I create the things I create because I feel that people should have a glimpse of what I see:
Most only notice the basics about a face. It reveals gender, race, and age. And that is all you will ever see if you do not look hard enough. Histories and memories of love lost, war, triumph, pain, rejection, and elation are all visible by observing a face. An expression can tell any complex emotion and why its there. You can see a person’s soul if you genuinely examine their eyes. A mouth recounts every laugh and every harsh word.
In my paintings, I try to convey these facets simply, so viewers can easily draw together their own interpretation about the history behind the face.
"I see the world through a rose-colored monocle."
